Abstract

This paper presents the formulation and performance evaluation of a compounded transmission oil for military motor vehicles as a replacement for imported TAP-15V oil. The developed oil, formulated from selected base oils and a multifunctional additive package, satisfied all requirements of GOST 23652, with a kinematic viscosity of 14,58 mm²/s at 100 °C, a pour point of -26 °C, and a flash point of 234 °C. Four-ball tests showed improved tribological performance compared with TAP-15V oil, achieving a wear index of 720 N and a weld load of 5508 N. The results demonstrate that the formulated oil is suitable for practical application as an alternative to imported TAP-15V oil.
