Abstract

The purpose of this sudy was to investigate the one way solvent type, solvent concentration, extraction time and the ratio of material/solvent extraction, which affected the extraction process of alkaloid from Leonurus japonicas Houtt. resulting in C2H5OH; 80%; 24 hours; 6/1 (v/w). On the basis of the factors affecting the extraction conditions, we found that the solvent concentration, extraction time and solvent/material ratio strongly influence the extraction process. Application of Box-Behnken design found the optimal condition for the extraction process of alkaloid from Leonurus japonicas Houtt. With solvent concentration of 77.81%, extraction time of 24,24 hours, solvent/raw ratio whether it is 5.93/1 (v/w), which created the amount of alkaloid of 2.0996 g. Experimental results showed high degree of compatibility with the model.
